Our Story
Located right on the corner of the iconic roundabout where West Preston tram route 11 runs through, from a pocket of not much else, in 2013 Chumanchu opened its doors & had the locals on their feet, the gentrification on this side of Preston really took off.
Proudly servicing the Preston local community, Chumanchu has become a trendy hot spot & is known for our attractive spread of Vietnamese & Pan Asian cuisines fully packed with aromatic & authentic flavors using quality produce & local market fresh herbs & spices.

Our menu is inspired & influenced by our upbringing, traditional Vietnamese home-cooked meals & our very own favourites. We at Chumanchu want our customers to discover new & old flavors, satisfying their palates in a sophisticated & relaxed atmosphere for the best dining experience that they come back to again & again.

Our Menu
To honour & maintain the integrity of our Vietnamese culture & our many generations of home-cooked meals, our dishes are topped with Asian herbs & all its condiments to showcase the fresh authentic & traditional flavours.

There are some twists in a few of our dishes where we have discovered ingredients that compliment each other well have enhanced the unique flavours.

We offer a great variety & irresistible options to create an adventure for our customers, whether it's discovering new flavours or coming back for favourites, we give options to explore on your own or by sharing with others.
Ambience
Housed in an old community hall, Chumanchu is carefully fitted out & very spacious with a mix of big communal tables & two or four-seaters. We make arrangements to fit groups of all sizes.
The imposing gold front doors come from a former bank & we also have benches in the windows & a few tables outside.
With much of the interior designed by ourselves, our shopfront features exposed brick walls & a mash-up of ancient Asian decor creating a very modern cool to match the style of our food for the perfect ambience.
